Pink Runtz is the sweetest expression of the Runtz family — a phenotype of Rainbow Sherbert crossed with Pink Panties that landed firmly on the "candy-and-strawberry" side of the lineage. While its cousins Black Runtz and Grape Runtz lean indica and grape-forward, Pink Runtz keeps the balanced hybrid backbone of the original Runtz strain with a brighter, fruitier nose.

The strain rose to popularity in California around 2019 and crossed into the New Jersey adult-use market once cultivators began propagating Runtz cuts. Today Pink Runtz is one of the most-requested hybrids at NJ dispensaries, including ours in West Orange. Buds tend to be dense, frosty, and visibly pink-purple at the calyxes when grown to spec.

At 22-28% THC and roughly 50/50 indica/sativa with a slight indica lean, Pink Runtz delivers an uplifted, social opening followed by a relaxed body settle 30-45 minutes in. Pink Runtz opens with sweet strawberry and pink bubblegum on the nose — almost identical to actual candy. As you break the buds (or pop the vape), the secondary notes come forward: a hint of fresh-cut berry, a soft floral note from the humulene, and an earthy pepper edge from caryophyllene that keeps it from feeling one-dimensional.
