NJ medical cardholders get tax exemptions and higher purchase limits. Not required at The Library—we're recreational!
What to Expect: Your First Visit
ID Check at the Door
Security will check your ID before entry. This is standard at all dispensaries. You'll also be asked to consent to being in a 21+ facility.
Browse the Menu
Products are displayed with clear labeling: strain name, THC/CBD content, price. Digital menus or physical displays. Take your time—no pressure to rush.
Talk to a Budtender
Our knowledgeable staff will help you choose products based on your experience level, desired effects, and preferences. Don't hesitate to ask questions!
Make Your Selection
Start small if you're a beginner. You can always come back for more. Purchase limits apply (typically 1 oz flower equivalent per visit).
Check Out & Receive Products
Products come in child-resistant, sealed packaging. You'll receive a receipt. Verify your purchase before leaving. Exit bags are provided.
How to Choose Cannabis Products
Consider Your Goals
- • Relaxation: Indica strains, edibles

- • Pain relief: High-CBD products, topicals
- • Sleep: Indica edibles, CBN products
- • Social: Balanced hybrids, moderate THC
Match Your Experience Level
- • Beginner: 5-10mg edibles, low-THC flower (10-15%)
- • Intermediate: 10-20mg edibles, moderate THC (15-20%)
- • Experienced: 20mg+ edibles, high-THC flower (20%+), concentrates
Pro tip: Ask budtenders about the most popular products. Best-sellers are popular for a reason!
Cannabis Store Etiquette
✓ DO: Ask Questions
Budtenders are here to help! No question is too basic. We'd rather you ask than leave confused.
✓ DO: Be Patient
Dispensaries can get busy, especially weekends. Wait times happen. Bring patience and good vibes.
✗ DON'T: Consume On-Site
Consumption is illegal in the dispensary or parking lot. Wait until you're home in a private residence.
✗ DON'T: Take Photos Inside
Many dispensaries prohibit photos/videos inside for customer privacy and security. Ask first.
After Your Purchase
Transport Safely
Keep products in sealed, original packaging. Store in trunk if driving. Never open or consume in your vehicle.
Store Properly
Keep cannabis in a cool, dark place away from children and pets. Child-resistant packaging is required by law.
Start Low, Go Slow
First-time? Use less than you think you need. You can always consume more next time. Better to underwhelm than overwhelm.
Return for Advice
